How Much Does Your Dream Cost?

How Much Does Your Dream Cost? Achieving your dream is not easy and there is a cost you must be willing to pay. This cost includes time commitment, perseverance against obstacles and consistency of work . You need to transform your dream into several successive goals that take you to achieve your dream, every goal must have compliance date and a plan of action to achieve it. Fight for your dream, do not let anything stop you and do not ever give up. Learn from each fall and with the lessons learned, get up and continue. So far, I have not said anything new and any personal improvement workshop will say something very similar. However, there is something a personal improvement workshop will not tell you: The most powerful element to achieve your dreams is prayer. Take time to be alone with God, to talk with him about your dream. This is very important because you need to align your dream with God's will and confirm that this is His Purpose for your life. With God's wisdom, help and direction you can make your dream come true, but you must be willing to wait, because God's timing is perfect. However, waiting does not mean stopping, but resisting and persevering until God's time to achieve your dream . Remember: If God is for you, who can ever be against you? (Romans 8:31). I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. ( Philippians 4:13).

Thinking About Sunday

Happy Sunday: Day of Light.

Happy Sunday: Day of Light. What happened on the first Sunday of the world? God created the light: God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day (Genesis 1:2-5). And this was what happened on Resurrection Sunday: The angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying (Matthew 28:1-6). At the beginning, a Sunday like today, God created the physical light. Then, on Resurrection Sunday, the Light of God defeated the spiritual darkness, to enlighten and guide our path to eternal life. Today we celebrate those two Sundays. Happy Sunday and may God's light shine for you today.

Thoughts About Loving Your Children And Discipline

Do you love your children enough to ask them where they’re going, what time they’ll come back and let them know friends that are bad them.

Do you love your children enough to make them return what they took and is not their's and teach them that lying has serious consequences.

Do you love your children enough to let them take responsibility for their actions and say "No" when necessary, even if they don't like it.

Love your children and educate them with discipline, even if they don't like it. God told you to teach your children values & principles.

We read in the book of Proverbs: Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it (22:6).

We read in the book of Proverbs: Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad (29:17).

Paul advises us to bring our children up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

If you don't want to make life harder for your children, you must assume their education with discipline.

Do You Love Your Children?

Do You Love Your Children? We have a friend named Victor, who boasted of the love he gave to his children, because he pleased them in all they wanted and avoided any conflict with them, so they did not get upset and were always happy. So, many times Victor accepted their rudeness and let them be spoiled. There came a time when he could not control his kids and then realized that his children needed a different kind of love. The question is: Do you love your children? You love them enough, to:

  1. Ask them where they are going and what time they will come back.
  2. Let them know the friends that are bad them.
  3. Make them return what they took and is not their's.
  4. Teach them that lying has serious consequences.
  5. Let them take responsibility for their actions.
  6. Say " No" when necessary, even if they don't like it.

If you love your children, you must educate them with discipline, even if they don't like it. God commanded you to teach your children values and principles. We read in the book of Proverbs: Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it (22:6). Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad (29:17). Thoughts About The Burdens Of Life

How Strong Are You? How much weight can you lift? That is relative. We must consider the weight and how long we must hold the weight.

Holding a glass of water for a minute, is no problem. Holding it for half an hour, is painful and you won’t be able to hold it for an hour.

Time makes your burdens heavier. If you always carry your burdens, you will feel them very heavy and you won’t be able to move forward.

You must release your burdens to cease your pain, so you can continue your way forward and achieve your life goals.

Jesus said: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Seek Jesus and give him your burdens, and you'll see how light you run with Jesus, towards your goal.

How Strong Are You?

How Strong Are You? How much weight can you lift? That is relative. A glass of water does not weigh much, about 200 g or 7 oz, and is very easy to lift. However, the absolute weight is not always the only factor to consider. We must take into account how long should we lift or hold the object. If you hold a glass of water for a minute, it's no problem. If you hold it for half an hour, your arm will hurt and if you try to hold it for more than an hour, probably you won’t be able to bear the weight. The weight is always the same, but time makes it feel heavier. The same happens in life. If you constantly carry your burdens, eventually you will feel them very heavy and you will not be able to move forward. The same way you have to release the glass of water to cease the pain and recover the use of your arm, you must release your life burdens to cease your pain, so you can continue your way forward. You may have to repeat this process more than once, so you can achieve your life goals. Jesus said: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Seek Jesus and give him your burdens, and you'll see how light you run with Jesus, towards your goal.

Thoughts About Ignoring Our Neighbor

Do Invisible People Exist? Yes they exist, because we create them when we ignore them.

We make people invisible when we don’t answer when they talk, we don’t look at them when we talk and we are with them without noticing them.

We ignore people if we don’t care about their feelings, we decide about them without consulting them, we make plans and don’t include them.

The connection is broken when we make people feel our things are more important than them and we don’t let them complain about it.

We usually ignore family or people that because of their position, they have nothing to contribute to our race for money, power and fame.

You don’t make invisible anyone in an instant, but occurs over time, by the way we manage our relationship with them.

To ignore and make people invisible is to corner and separate them, and diminish them, until they disappear, not physically but emotionally.

We can make invisible our children, parents, grandparents, family members, neighbors, employees and sometimes unfortunately, our spouse.

Our neighbor deserve our love. We should not ignore them or reject them. Don’t forget that Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor.

Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor as ourselves and treat our neighbor as we want to be treated ourselves.

If you don’t want to be invisible to others, don’t make anybody invisible to you.

Do Invisible People Exist?

Do Invisible People Exist? Yes they exist, because we create them. We make people invisible when they speak to us and we don’t answer them, we speak to them without looking at them, we act around them without noticing them, we don’t care about their feelings, we make decisions that affect them without consulting them, we make plans and don’t include them, they try to connect with us but don’t succeed, we make them feel that we attend to much more important matters than they are, and our power over them is such that they don’t dare to complain to us. We usually do this with children and the elders, with employees or subordinates or other people, that because of their position or their situation in life, they can not demand anything from us or have anything to contribute to our important race for money, power, fame and success. This effect is not instantaneous, but occurs over time, by the way we manage our relationship with them. We corner and separate them, and diminish them, until they become invisible and disappear, not physically, but emotionally. We create people to become invisible people, who are very important to us, like our children, parents, grandparents, family members, neighbors, employees and sometimes unfortunately, our spouse. Thoughts About Teen Sex

Teen sex is good because you learn, is fun, everyone is doing it, protection avoids pregnancy & sexually transmitted diseases. Right? Wrong!

Teen sex is safe. Are you kidding me? There are ample research results showing the consequences of teen sex.

Teen sex results in tarnished reputation, psychological problems, pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

Teen sex is linked to relationship violence, depression, substance and alcohol abuse, suicidal ideation, and risky sexual behaviors.

God created us and He knows us better that any scientist. In His instruction manual, He told us not to fornicate, to protect us.

God knew why we should not fornicate, but we always think we know better than Him. Right? No, we are wrong again!

Jesus warned us in Matthew 15: For from the heart come evil sexual thoughts and these are what defile you.

What is wrong with teens having sex?

What is wrong with having some fun? What is wrong with teens having sex? Let’s see the facts: Everyone is doing it. You can’t get pregnant your first time. You can’t contract sexually transmitted diseases if you’re on birth control. Oral sex is not real sex. Right? Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. Are you kidding me? Teens are young, impressionable, impulsive and with lots of hormones. Add to that: peer pressure, insecurity, invincibility, some alcohol & drugs, and you’ve got yourself a teen sex cocktail. However, there are ample research results showing that the consequences of teen sex are: Reputation is tarnished, Psychological problems, Pregnancy and Sexually transmitted diseases (Terri McCarthy - St. Paul Parenting Examiner). Also, research shows that early sexual activity is not an event isolated from the rest of an adolescent’s life. Instead, it is often linked to negative behaviors, such as relationship violence, depression, substance and alcohol abuse, suicidal ideation, and an increase in other risky sexual behaviors (Quinn Harr -  Michigan Family Forum). I have a very simple conclusion about this subject: God created us and He knows us better that any scientist. In His instruction manual, He told us not to fornicate. God knew why, but we always think we know better. Right? No, we are wrong again! Jesus warned us in Matthew 15: For from the heart come evil sexual thoughts and these are what defile you.

Thoughts About Life Purpose

Life Purpose is an essence statement that serves as a reminder of who you are and the impact you naturally create in the world.

Life Purpose is the most powerful statement of your mission in life. It is not a job, trade or profession, but your deeper purpose.

Jesus gave us Life Purpose and don’t take this as something religious. Brake that paradigm. There is profound meaning in what Jesus told us.

Jesus said: You must love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, all your strength, and Love your neighbor as yourself.

Jesus said: Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Your Life Purpose should go beyond this earthly and physical life, into your eternal life in heaven.

Does Your Life Has A Purpose?

Does Your Life Has A Purpose? Life purpose is about why you are here on earth. Who is it that you are moved to be and what is it that you are moved to create? It is an essence statement that serves as a reminder of who you are and the impact you naturally create in the world. It is the most powerful and succinct statement about your highest mission in life. It is not a job or vocation or any specific action, but a deeper purpose that can be fulfilled through any job, any activity, and at any moment in time. Jesus gave us a Life Purpose, and please don’t take this as a religious teaching. Go beyond that paradigm! There is a profound meaning in what Jesus told us about the purpose of life. Go deep, search your heart and it might help you find your purpose in this life. This is what Jesus said about our Life Purpose: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength, and Love your neighbor as yourself. This means: Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously and let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations and teach them what Jesus have given you. If you want to read more about your purpose, you can read Matthew 5, 6, 7, 22 & 28. Your Life Purpose should go beyond this earthly and physical life, into your eternal life in heaven.

Thoughts About Jesus Divinity

Who was Jesus? Teacher, Lunatic, Liar or God? All historical figures, together, have not managed to changed the world, like Jesus did.

Jesus is God or just a great teacher? If Jesus claimed to be God, but wasn’t, he would be lunatic, liar or demon, but not a great teacher.

You must choose. Jesus was, and is God that became a man, or else a lunatic or worse. What Jesus said doesn’t leave open other possibility.

You can make fun of him or fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God, but let us not commit the folly of calling Him a great human teacher.

I believe Jesus Christ was neither a lunatic or liar nor a fiend, and therefore, I accept Him as my Lord and God, my Savior.

I believe that Jesus Christ rose again and is alive, seated at the right hand side of the Father.

Teacher, Lunatic, Liar or God?

Teacher, Lunatic, Liar or God? He was born in a poor family and worked as a carpenter until he was thirty years old. He was itinerant preacher for three years. He healed the sick, and cast out demons and raised the dead. He did not write a book. He did not hold any official position. He never went away more than two hundred miles from his hometown. He had no possessions. He was falsely accused to arouse the people and was nailed to a cross between two thieves. He died and was buried in a borrowed tomb. Over twenty centuries have passed since then.
All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that have ever been built, all the parliaments that have ever held sessions and all the kings and rulers, all philosophers, thinkers and writers, together, have not exercised such a palpable influence on world history as that singular figure who changed the world. Who was he?

There are those who accept Jesus as a great teacher, but do not accept his claim to be God. However, a man that not being God, say: I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am! Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! The Father and I are one, he would not be a great teacher. He would be a lunatic, a liar or a demon, but not a great teacher. What Jesus said does not leave open that possibility. You must choose. O Jesus was, and is, God that became a man, or else a lunatic or something worse. You can make fun of him or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God, but let us not come with the silly idea to call it a great human teacher. I believe He was neither a lunatic or liar nor a fiend, and therefore, I accept Him as my Lord and God, my Savior. I believe that He rose again and is alive, seated at the right hand of the Father.

Do Not Seek Comfort

Please, Do Not Seek Comfort. Comfort is good and nice, because it fits you, makes you want to stay there, not move and so, you get stuck. Discomfort is disturbing and unpleasant, because it makes you angry, makes you want to get out of there, move, and for that reason, it challenges you. Leaving the comfort zone is an adventure that makes you grow and experience new challenges, discover new talents and abilities that you have never imagined and that can only be seen when facing the challenge of discomfort. God challenges you today: Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). You God equipped and trained you to take on challenges: For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). You also have the inexhaustible source and invincible of God's Power: My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). And that’s why Jesus promised to help us overcome and succeed: Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Get out of your comfort zone and find your life purpose and the success that God has for you.

Do You Feel God Has Abandoned You?

Do You Feel God Has Abandoned You? Do You Feel God Doesn't Listen To You? I have news for you : God will never leave you. God's promises are final: I will not abandon you as orphans. I will come to you (John 14:18). Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). For God has said: I will never fail you. I will never abandon you (Hebrews 13:5). Everyone can leave you, including your family, your friends and associates. But God will never forsake you. However, we have abandon God and turned away from Him, to live as we want without following His mandates; and we have got so far apart from Him that we can not hear Him. At these times we live in the deepest darkness. The times that we walked away from God are all related in the Bible, particularly the Old Testament, but Jesus was also abandoned by his disciples and we can read in Matthew 24 and 26 and in John 6. If we abandon God and turn away from Jesus, how can we expect to hear Him? Come back to Jesus, ask forgiveness for having turned away from Him and you will be able hear Him. You will pass from darkness to the light and you will not feel lonely. I am leaving you with a gift: peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

When does life begins?

When does life begins? There is a tremendous consensus in the scientific community about when life begins. This is hardly controversial. How do scientists distinguish between life and non-life? A scientific textbook called “Basics of Biology” gives five characteristics of living things; these five criteria are found in all modern elementary scientific textbooks: Living things are highly organized and have an ability to acquire materials and energy, to respond to their environment, to reproduce and to adapt. According to this elementary definition of life, life begins at fertilization, when a sperm unites with an oocyte. From this moment, the being is highly organized, has the ability to acquire materials and energy, has the ability to respond to his or her environment, has the ability to adapt, and has the ability to reproduce (cells reproduce by cell division). Even before the mother is aware that she is pregnant, a distinct, unique life has begun his or her existence inside her. Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life.

Pruning

The farmer knows the importance of pruning , that is, the selective removal of parts of a plant. Reasons to prune plants include, improving or maintaining plant’s health, and increasing harvest yield and the quality of flowers and fruits. The practice entails targeted removal of diseased, damaged, dead and non-productive tissue from plants. The same natural process also applies to us because to improve our performance and to the quality of our "fruit", we need to maintain or improve our mental and spiritual health. For that, we must prune everything that is sick, damaged, dead and unproductive, within us. Usually, we can not prune ourselves, but God knows what hurts us and He Himself handles the pruning. Jesus said: God cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. (John 15:2-4 ) . Even though it hurts you, do not resist being pruned by God, because it takes you to achieve your life purpose.
