Success of the Human Race

We live on the same planet and belong to the same species. We share the past and the present and will share the future. So, why do we live in different worlds?

We live in a world of abundance and scarcity, wealth and poverty, education and ignorance, development and underdevelopment, peace and war, self-control and vice and addiction, love and hate, truth and lies.

We are all equal and live together in a tiny dot in the universe. So, why do we live so separated? World leaders are dedicated to achieving power and celebrate their victories, immersed in vanity and surrounded by scandals of all kinds, increasingly distancing themselves from the people they must serve.

There are others who see the world with concerned and get involved for years in doing humanitarian work to get a solution to the many problems in the less fortunate part of the world. They are heavily involved in causes, regardless of the risk.

Helping others leads them to a meaningful life. They are heroes in a world they try to improve with love, compassion, solidarity, generosity and courage. They have learned that success is a life of a purpose.

God created us all equal and made us live together in a small point in the universe, so that we help each other. That is the real success.

The Daily Gospel

Luke 10:25-37

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" "What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?" He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself." "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."

But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. Look after him, he said, and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.

"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

The Power Of Faith

God feeds you, cares for you and protects you like the apple of his eye, as the eagle cares for its young. Your life is precious to Him! Even though you walk through the darkest valley, you will fear no evil, pest, or attack, because He is with you and is your refuge, strength, and your Father, who you can trust.

The important thing to understand is that the power to overcome the problems and adversities of life, lies in your faith in God, because your Father in heaven, will give you anything you ask in faith, if you are obedient to his commands and remain faithful to his teachings.

Your faith must be big enough to overcome fear and doubt, have courage, believe that with God all things are possible and you can achieve what seems impossible to others and have the capacity to pray with power. Your faith must also be big enough to obey what God commands you and live true to his teachings, keeping close to him as a good child.

When problems come into your life, trust God, He loves you and has the power to change any circumstance according to your faith.

The Daily Gospel

Matthew 14:22-33

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.

But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

One Step Each Day

Take advantage of the time and when life presents you with adversity that hinders you from reaching your goals, take even more advantage of the time and defeat adversity with optimism and positivism.

Thank God for each new day, because your time will be more effective and efficient, if you start the day with God. Have life goals, plan your short-term objectives to achieve these goals and strive to make each day count to reach your goals.

Be positive, believe that success is possible and victory is at your fingertips. Change is your ally, because there are opportunities in all circumstances, expect the very best, everything happens because God allows it and do not waste your valuable time on negative issues that you can not control.

There is no substitute for hard work, therefore, strive to solve problems, look for possible solutions, be creative and innovate and learn from your mistakes and failures.

Life is short and was not meant to be merely survived, it must be lived to the fullest. Remember that the essence of life is to take a step at a time.

Goals are not achieved alone. Take a step toward your goal, and make today a day of success. God created you for something great. Go for it!

The Daily Gospel

John 14:12-31

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world? Jesus replied, Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. You heard me say, I am going away and I am coming back to you. If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. Come now; let us leave.
